What You’ll do
In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting our Vulnerability Management Program by analyzing vulnerabilities, create and manage metrics, collaborate with various IT and Business teams in a risk focused environment. Additional responsibilities include supporting Security Awareness program and conducting risk assessments of new software and vendors. This role will interface with Architecture, Vendor Management, IT, Risk and Business teams on a frequent basis.
How you’ll make an impact:

• The Security Analyst role would help support and sustain existing processes and provide an opportunity to create new ones as we go.
• The role will interface with many IT and business teams thus expanding the team’s scope of operations.

What you can expect:

• Assist with the collection and analysis of cyber threat intelligence reporting.
• Tailor security awareness messaging and develop new security awareness campaigns to reflect evolving security trends and threats.
• Conduct Security Awareness training for new users.
• Design Phishing Awareness Campaigns and track their results.
• Analyze results of Security Awareness campaigns to determine effectiveness and determine trends and areas for improvement.
• Review vulnerability scan data and determine solution applicability.
• Work with Remediation Teams to create and track plans to address discovered vulnerabilities.
• Assist with the production of metrics and reports to track the effectiveness of Vulnerability Management efforts
• Identify and evaluate Vulnerability Metrics to determine areas of concern and improvement.
• Assist with efforts to quantify and analyze areas of risk in the environment
• Assist with Reviews of security requests.
• Be a clear and confident public speaker, able to tailor messaging around technical concepts to diverse audiences.

What you’ll bring:

• Associate degree (Computer Science or Engineering discipline; technical or professional experience may be substituted for formal education if necessary)
• 2 to 3 years of experience in IT Security
• Ability to assess vulnerability risk and applicability based on existing guidance.
• Intermediate scripting abilities through use of Python or comparable methods for process improvement and efficiency
• Familiar with standard security best practices.
• Knowledge in vulnerability scanning and its tools.
• Knowledge in Amazon Web Services and its applications.
• Experience with any one coding/programming language is added advantage (Python, Powershell)
• Basic understanding in Security Awareness training for users.
• Prospective candidate should be comfortable presenting to audiences of varying sizes and skill sets.
• Strong customer service skills to deliver quality results.
• Able to quickly change direction from day-to-day work to address new threats or vulnerabilities.
• Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and organize competing work demands.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes and tools to find and manage software vulnerabilities.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
