Job description
Front Desk Security associates are the first point of contact at the Rock Hill Distribution Center. They are responsible for creating a professional and welcoming first impression. This sets the tone for visitors, vendors, and associates here at West Marine. They also ensure we keep our associates safe. If this sounds like you, we look forward to hearing from you! Qualified candidates must be flexible to move from different shifts (am, pm and graveyard) as well as 12 hour shifts if necessary.
Responsibilities:
Welcome on-site visitors while also performing all facets of security- Serve as a telephone operator and answer main telephone line
- Complete log for all trucks entering and exiting the facility
- Maintain guest logs and issue vendor/visitor badges
- Issue new associate badges and assign access
- Assist with random locker inspections as needed
- Monitor digital security systems and follow up on any safety or security concerns
Qualifications:
High school diploma- Proficient with MS Office (MS Word and Outlook)
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Past security experience preferred
- Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations
