Help ensure safety, law, and order throughout the hospital to provide the highest quality of care to our patients and staff. We are seeking a top-notch security supervisor to oversee the daily operations and security personnel and supervise all security field operators within command. Primary responsibilities:

• Collaborate with departments or directors to determine security needs
• Supervise, coordinate, and direct security officers to include training, weekly scheduling, daily workflow and assignments, daily roll call and evaluations
• Coordinate responses to emergencies and alarms, including Fire Department personnel
• Assist with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies
• Promptly follow-up on incidents and prepare written reports clearly and concisely
• Oversee fire protection training and fire drills; conduct regular fire and safety patrols, and oversee all safety and emergency plans
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and security industry regulations and keep abreast of trends, new technologies and advancements in security services

Qualifications for this position are:

• An Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• At least 3 years of related experience in a similar role with 1 year of supervisory experience
• Valid New York State Driver’s License
• New York State Security Guard License; Fire Safety background preferred
• BCLS Certification
• In-depth knowledge of security practices/procedures and surveillance techniques/equipment
• Excellent interpersonal, management and written/oral communication skills
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
