Summary

Perform a variety of regular and recurring accounting functions including the compiling and preparing of intermediate to high level/technical journal entries to general ledger accounts. Heavy involvement in the preparations of month end general ledger account reconciliations. In addition, involvement with Internal Audit and External Auditors on interim and annual audit testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month to month financial analysis of various Sunoco LP entities
  • Involvement in the creation/maintenance of month end general ledger account reconciliations. Ensure compliance with SOX controls
  • Assist with intercompany reconciliation, consolidation and coordination with other Sunoco LP Accounting teams
  • Apply the financial policies and procedures of the organization and inform management of inconsistencies and problems.
  • Performs audit tasks, as well as various duties and projects assigned by management
  • Serves customers by maintaining our philosophy of going above and beyond, supported by a value proposition that every situation will be handled in a timely manner
  • Represents Company interests with the highest standards of professionalism.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2-5 years of related experience.
  • Experience working with SAP preferred.
  • Strong experience in SAP S/4 FIORI/Winshuttle.
  • Strong analytic and data analysis skills required, especially MS Excel.
  • Must display good judgment and be able to work independently, as needed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable and have a high level of initiative.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
