Job Title: Senior Accountant

Expected Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 per year

Reports to: CFO

Location: Remote position located in the continental US


The Job

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for Actify’s accounting operations, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with department heads across the company to achieve both departmental and organizational goals.


What you will be doing

  • Own, develop, and evolve month end close processes for the entire GL
  • Oversight of implementing, maintaining, and enhancing internal controls in connection with functions on this position's purview.
  • Lead audit preparedness and support external audits performed on the company's consolidated financial statements and audits of individual international subsidiaries.
  • Keep current on accounting and financial reporting trends, new GAAP and IASB accounting pronouncements impacting the Company, SEC guidance, and disclosure trends impacting the Company, etc
  • Oversight from a "business owner" perspective of ERP application

What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • 5+ years of experience required with public accounting a plus
  • CPA preferred/desired
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and specifically of ASC 606
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented, including proven ability to independently analyze transactions and contracts and document the related accounting analysis under US GAAP
  • Knowledge and experience with revenue, FX, accounts payable, accruals, amortization, and prepaids
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with experience in a fast-paced environment, able to thrive under pressure, and execute to tight deadlines
  • Efficiency in problem-solving, completing reconciliations, and responding to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Player-coach mentality required
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred

Position Details

This is a fully remote position, based in the continental United States.


Normal job duties will not typically require travel. However, travel for team or company meetings, including international travel, will occasionally be required.
