Senior Accountant - Riverside, CA - Overview:
The Senior Accountant who joins our team will be organized, focused, and will have a solid base of accounting knowledge. The work you do requires intermediate Excel skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to deliver accurate financial data within strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Your frequent collaboration with various internal departments and customers necessitates good written and communication skills. You will support the Controller and handle day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Primary Responsibilities
:
- Responsible for daily functions, such as accounts payable, receivable, and billing
- Prepares weekly and monthly comprehensive reconciliations of general ledger and bank accounts
- Maintains sub-ledger schedules and updates monthly roll forwards of accounts’ activity
- Records monthly closing entries and updates supporting schedules
- Compiles customer and vendor data into financial models
- Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and correlating financial data
- Works closely with external auditors and tax team
The ideal candidate will have:
- An Accounting, Finance or Business degree
- At lease three years of experience in a similar role
- A solid understanding of accrual accounting and full cycle month end close
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks online
