QUALIFICATIONS

The Technician will have a 2-year degree in electronics. It is preferred that the technician will have semiconductor knowledge and/or experience. Previous experience or alternative formal training may be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be capable of reading technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Must be capable of accurately setting up and using current meters, volt meters, oscilloscopes, and other commonly used electronic measurement equipment.
• Must understand electrical units of measure (mega, milli, micro, nano, pico, etc.) and be able to convert from one unit to another (e.g. nanoamps to microamps).
• Must be capable of learning tasks that are uncommon (diode burn-in, surge test, corona test, flash test, etc.).
• Must be able to accurately follow directions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work Assignments. Work assignments will be directed by the Test Area Supervisor and will require performing production test duties as well as special project support.

Production Test. Most work will involve setup and test of high voltage diodes, rectifier assemblies, multipliers, and power supplies. This position requires accurate testing. Accuracy is critical and impacts highly sensitive customer applications. Attention to detail is vital.

Troubleshooting Failures. This position will be required to analyze products and/or processes to accurately assess problems, and determine reasonable solutions to the problem.

Read Technical Drawings/Schematics. Will be frequently required to read electrical schematics, prepare proper test setup, perform required electrical testing.

Test Equipment. Extensive use of oscilloscopes, volt meters, current meters, and various test equipment is required. This position requires working knowledge of required equipment.

Tech 2: $25.20/hr - $28.88/hr

Senior Tech: $28.88/hr - $35.00/hr

A staffing agency may be utilized for the first 720 working hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.88 - $35.00 per hour
