JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective: The Senior Financial Analyst, Growth & Mergers & Acquisitions provides support to the Chief Financial Officer, VP of Finance, and executive leadership by assisting in the assessment and execution of the organization’s strategic growth initiatives. This includes creation and maintenance of financial models, evaluation of acquisition and growth opportunities, capital planning, identifying areas for business optimization, preparation of executive presentations, and ad hoc reporting.

Position Pay Range (based on experience): $78,300 - $97,900

Essential Functions
1. Create accurate and timely financial and valuation models for growth opportunities to include pro forma financial statements, cash flow and working capital projections, and investment returns.
2. Collaborate with Decision Support and Development teams to gather and challenge inputs to financial models and growth initiatives.
3. Work with external valuation firms to assist in preparation of valuation reports and conduct financial due diligence on merger and acquisition targets.
4. Maintain and improve the company’s long-term growth strategy financial model.
5. Support Senior Leadership in identifying, assessing, and executing transactions.
6. Forecast multi-year quarterly debt covenants.
7. Model impact of growth decisions on credit statistics, company share price, and ESOP repurchase liability.
8. Assist with evaluating business performance to generate objective, data-driven, and actionable recommendations to optimize financial performance.
9. Maintain an analytical approach when compiling financial models and other reports to identify outliers and areas indicating need for improvement or further analysis.
10. Prepare presentations for leadership, banks, lenders, and other stakeholders.
11. Perform ad hoc reporting and financial analysis, creating clear and succinct summary reports for presentation to Senior Leadership.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting/Finance – experience in investment banking or private equity preferred
  • Growth mindset with a hunger to help the company meet its growth objectives
  • Proven quantitative & analytical competency with strong history of financial modeling and analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Intermediate PowerPoint skills
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver, and a team player
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
  • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectations

  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance required; MBA preferred
