The Role

Company is growing, and we need a driven Senior Front-end Developer skilled in React, HTML, and CSS to steer our front-end implementations for our eCommerce applications and client portals.

You will join our cross-functional Corporate B2B team to modernize and enhance the portal our biggest clients use to place orders. You'll work closely with designers, the product owners, and back-end developers to implement a sophisticated interface to configure products for bulk purchasing.

We're looking for someone to hit the ground running, with modern React skills and the ability to produce well-organized components.

Future projects include white-label portions of our platform offering, internal support portals, and work on our many eCommerce applications. We have a lot of work ahead of us and skilled front-end developers will always be in-demand.

We want someone with a genuine interest in the emerging front-end landscape. There are a lot of options in the industry at the moment. Our ideal candidate will be at the forefront of understanding these options, and able to help steer our choices and balance cutting-edge technology with the need to have a stable software ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Develop and own application code throughout the entire SDLC
Be an expert in front-end technologies like React and HTML/CSS.
Work within our Project Management and SDLC processes. We use Jira, BitBucket, and BitBucket Pipelines to manage our work.
Maintain a solid industry awareness. You know what browsers are doing and what other companies are supporting. You know the current best practices and track shifts in industry thinking.
Understand and implement SEO best practices and use tools like Google Analytics for analysis.
Collaborates with senior management and leadership within engineering and sometimes across the company.
May provide leadership and/or direction to lower-level employees and teams

The Ideal Candidate will have:

5+ years in the web development field in a front-end-focused role.
Ability to turn wireframes or mockups into functioning web interfaces.
Experience implementing front-end applications with React.
Experience with React-based frameworks like Next.js is a plus.
Backend or PHP experience is a plus.
