We are seeking a Service Assistant I to primarily maintain a clean and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors at Christiana Care.

This is a casual position working 8 hours a week and is NOT benefits eligible. The following shifts are available:

• Day - 7:00AM-3:30PM
• Evening - 3:00PM-11:30PM
• Morning - 11:00PM - 7:30AM

Education and experience requirements:

Two years of customer service.

High School diploma preferred.

Knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:

Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.

Ability to read and write at a high school level.

Ability to understand and communicate.

Ability to maintain a high degree of personal hygiene.

Ability to maintain a courteous, service oriented helpful attitude throughout the workday.

Ability to work in a standing position and carry out normally assigned duties for the entire shift.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patients.

Ability to use PDA/Smart Phones for job assignments.

Special requirements:

Will utilize or need to access emails on computer intermittent organizational communication.

Physical demands:

Prolonged standing, walking, and lifting as required.

Working conditions:

Potential exposure to infectious disease unless special precautions are followed.

Safety Glasses must be worn at all times.
