Summary:

A developing professional with an entry level understanding of Human Resources (HR) activities with regards to staffing. Is responsible for the review and processing of human resources actions necessary to support the institutions needs with regards to hires, terminations, records, personnel actions and other process and policy driven deliverables in a timely and customer service focused environment. This encompasses actions with regards to new and existing Laboratory employees in various appointment types. Major functional areas may include, but are not limited to, posting job ads, processing various personnel actions and agreements, providing data for start salary determination and other reports, compiling and reviewing hiring documentation, compiling appropriate paperwork, extending employment offers, background investigations, various onboarding activities, maintenance of data integrity and personnel records. Significant interaction with internal and external personnel and job applicants to the Laboratory. Provides support to applicants, employees, and managers regarding HR-related employment policies and procedures. Applies Laboratory policies and procedures to resolve a variety of routine issues. Assists with the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives. Works under direct supervision where guidance on daily assignments is routine. Ensures institutional consistency, data integrity, and transactional excellence.

Education:
Position typically requires a minimum of two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
