PCL's Residential Team is hiring for a Service Team Coordinator Apprentice in Jackson/Josephine Counties.

Description & Details:

The Service Team Coordinator Apprentice (STCA) is responsible for learning all the associated responsibilities for leading teams of Direct Support Professional (DSPs) who provide services in the home of people with intellectual/developmental disabilities to live great lives. This position requires an individual with the desire to learn leadership/management skills. This position will require up to 16 hours of direct support per week while in training.
A successful STCA will be provided the tools to lead through team development, open communication and also promote and challenge learning initiatives for those supervised and the people we support. This includes promoting a positive team attitude and be able to effectively respond to unexpected changes or demands. Additionally, an STCA will learn how to and ensure quality service delivery as well as compliance with state regulations and agency policies.

Per Oregon Health Authority Rules, PCL has adopted a policy requiring all associates to be fully vaccinated/willing to be vaccinated (while completing Orientation) against COVID-19, subject to limited exemptions based on medical conditions, sincerely held religious beliefs or applicable state laws and regulations.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Wage is salaried exempt $3,768/month.

All offers of employment are contingent upon a candidate’s successful completion of PCL’s pre-employment drug testing, and background investigation, which includes employment, education, and criminal histories.

Type of Position:
Full-time, hourly, non-exempt. Includes being a part of an on-call rotation, evenings and weekends are required.
Requirements:
  • Pass a State/Federal Criminal History Check.
  • Pre-employment drug screening (for the use of illegal drugs in Oregon).
  • Background screening including employment and education history.
  • Valid ODL with an insurable driving record.
  • Adherence to PCL’s Mission and Values, Ethical Guidelines, Playbook Attributes, and Standards of Conduct.
  • Consistent, professional dress and manner.
  • Regular and dependable attendance Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft and Google applications.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical behavior.

Experience:
  • Two years of experience in the field of I/DD and previous leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
