A Day in the Life as the Sinker EDM Specialist:
- Set-up, program and operate all sinker EDM machines to MGS standards.
- Able to understand and perform to quality standards, methods, usage of inspection devices and reporting as required.
- Read engineering drawings and use necessary measuring devices to produce or modify existing tooling, new tools, or old tools.
- Repair or request replacement parts, tooling or hardware as needed to maintain inventory of tooling.
- Coordinate with specialty machining areas for specific operations or needs.
- Possibly work with and train apprentices, offer aid to their progression.
- Maintain good attendance and flexibility as work priorities may vary.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
Why you?
- Moldmaking experience preferred
- Minimum 1-year Sinker EDM experience required
- Completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship with journeymen card or accrued experience.
- Self-starter, team player, organized, detail orientated / highly accurate, able to multitask and run multiple machines concurrently.
- Willing to provide training to the right individual.
