Site Investigation Specialist - Primoris Renewable Energy

Summary:
Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Site Investigation Specialist. The Site Investigation Specialist will work closely with the Pre-Construction department and will be responsible for the early due diligence of projects in negotiation. This position will help drive our investigation efforts to better support our operations team as well as our clients. As a member of the Pre-Construction team the accomplishments of this role are critical to delivering on the Primoris commitment to exemplary customer service.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Will coordinate site visits to conduct site inspections, evaluate specific areas of concern, and collect adequate data to distribute to the team.
- Help with the research of permit requirements for each project and relay that information back to the organization so it can be included in costs and schedule.
- Align and schedule subcontractors to help with site investigations which include Drone studies, surveys, Geotech, topo.
- Assist with coordination of deliverables during the preconstruction process.
- Assist in the pre-qualification of subcontractors / vendors and management of the subcontractor database.
- Assist with identifying water source to use for construction water and identify local utility for temporary power source.
- Help identify what could be major risk items of a project and a plan to mitigate those risks.
- Assist with transition from the preconstruction phase to the construction phase by transferring information gained from site investigations to the construction team.
- Up to 65% of travel required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Environmental/Permitting experience highly desirable
- Prior solar industry experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of construction/preconstruction highly desirable
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with and knowledge of state/county utilities highly desirable
- Experience in surveying/Geotech highly desirable
- Must be able to travel routinely up to 65%
