Responsibilities:
Deter criminal activity and misconduct- Respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized persons by calling police, fire departments and/or local emergency response teams.
- Makes periodic patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
- Prepare clear, concise, accurate reports.
- Operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, navigate security software systems or applications and use email.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance.
- Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications and performing in a high-pressure environment
- Other duties to be determined by security supervisor
Qualifications:- Prior law enforcement experience, military and/or corrections experience
- Applicants must meet one or any reasonable combination of the following requirements:
- Two years of customer service experience
- 3-5 years of security experience
- Law Enforcement Experience
- Corrections Experience
- Military Experience
Requirements:
Valid Security License for the State of Texas (level 3 or higher)- 21 years of age and High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Technology skills: operate access control system, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email.
- Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor and appearance.
- Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications while performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands.
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Possess above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public.
- Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
