About the Role

This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal Investigators (PIs) with designing research studies and providing scientific input into the research process.
• Be responsible for the execution of research studies including all aspects of data collection, supporting data management and data analyses, designing surveys, coordinating data collections, collecting survey and interview data, processing data, archiving data, and preparing codebooks.
• Assist in preparing Command Briefings, technical reports, and manuscripts for publication in professional journals.
• Design research studies to include reviewing and understanding applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Organize and prioritize all activities associated with designing research studies.
• Set up and perform experiments.
• Collect and maintain data and Analyze data.
• Maintain equipment and supplies.
• Responsibilities may also include the following non-laboratory duties: assisting with developing or amending study protocols; assisting with developing data collection tools; assisting with building databases; and providing general administrative support.
• Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
• Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring that it complies with all safety and occupational health rules and regulations
• Performs other related work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the research being conducted is preferred
• Be required to attend all safety training sessions relative to carrying out the design of research studies, reporting all infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.
• Knowledge of research techniques or methods relevant to the lab (e.g. Microscope imaging, image and data analyses, which includes writing/modifying computer scripts, maintaining the computer network environment and trouble-shooting hardware/software problems).

Clearance Requirement: Public Trust / High Risk

As this position is categorized as Public Trust / High Risk position, candidates will be subject to appropriate Background Investigation.

Job Location: Silver Springs MD or Remote

As this position will be required to travel to federal government sites, candidate must be residing near a national airport.

Travel:

Up to 20% travel may be required.
