Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services as a partner with United Airlines. Currently operating a fleet of CRJ-200 regional jets as United Express, Air Wisconsin Airlines operates throughout the Eastern and Central United States. With general direction from the Vice President of Human Resources, this position is responsible for overseeing internal and external communications. Oversees and manages social media and branding strategies to engage internal and external customers.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Collaborates with business units and community/corporate partners to develop social content strategies, advertising strategies, promotions and general Company communications.
  • Generates daily posts with a focus on recruitment efforts on multiple social media platforms, tailoring each post to the platform and maintaining a cohesive strategy throughout.
  • Responds to online comments, and finds creative ways to engage social media users and employees with the goal of attracting new applicants and building brand loyalty.
  • Monitors levels of engagement with content of each social media platform and understands social media metrics to look for future areas of opportunity.
  • Embodies the Company’s brand on-line. Understanding how the social media component complements the overarching business strategy of the company.
  • Main point of contact for internal communications and media relations inquires.
  • Acts as primary contact for coordination and responding to external media relations inquiries and partner airlines media relations inquiries and initiatives.
  • Serves as company Crisis / Emergency Response / Business Continuity Communications contact and maintains plans as necessary.
  • Monitors and responds to external communication generated from or related to the company to ensure a professional and consistent external brand including but not limited to press releases, company website, media inquiries, etc.
  • Works closely with Senior Leaders to develop and deliver internal communications related to communicating change and building understanding of company’s goals, objectives and values.
  • Partners with leaders to assist in the development of strategies to facilitate and enhance communication with employees to assist with driving employee engagement.
  • Attendance is considered an essential responsibility.*

Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications. Advertising, Public Relation or related field or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Social Media and/or digital marketing experience.
  • Excellent writing, social and communications skills.
  • Solid understanding of Web and related technologies and interplay between social media management software and enterprise systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • No license required.
