JCI is an entrepreneurial, nonprofit corporation dedicated to empowering people with disabilities or disadvantages to succeed through training and employment.

Transition Specialists are responsible for providing guidance, support, and career development opportunities to students with disabilities to ensure a successful transition into adulthood.

This Transition Specialist position will be serving Duplin County Schools.

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Enroll eligible youth and young adults for Pre-ETS Projects.
• Provide PreETS Services as assigned
• Career Exploration
• Group and one on one instruction and activities
• Boot Camp group and one on one instruction

• Work Based Learning group and individual experiences
• Maintain performance documentation

Minimum Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma and two years of related experience in workforce development, marketing or related field or combination of education/experience.

• Ability to communicate

• Ability to work independently with general supervision

• Ability to maintain accurate and timely records

• Computer knowledge

• Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form
