JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible and held accountable for the following duties:

  • Travel to assigned UA sites on designated days.
  • Be on site for designated UA times with a one-hour lunch break.
  • Observe urinalysis testing for special contracts including but not limited to; TANF/CW, Community Sentencing, Federal Probation and Parole, Self-Pay UA’s, etc.
  • Be aware of contractual obligations for each contract.
  • Collect specimens per contract requirements and prepare for shipment.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork per contract requirements.
  • Complete all necessary notes in EMR and paper charts if required.
  • Communicate with the probation officer and/or clinic staff regarding results or failure to appear.
  • Report all suspicious behavior in EMR, paper chart and report if necessary.
  • Address all UA results and obtain signatures at time specimen is collected.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for results needing further testing.
  • Able to report on accuracy and results to necessary parties.
  • Able to communicate results in a respectful and clear manner.
  • Able to maintain privacy of results and communicate with only those requiring the information.
  • Keep up to date information regarding release of information and communicate to necessary staff if needing to be updated.
  • Performs other reasonable related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management as requested.
  • Participate in staff meetings.
  • Must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job requirement.
  • Must meet “satisfactory” expectations at any scheduled job performance evaluation.
  • Quality of work will be evaluated through training, skill, or special purpose. Must be competent and adequate.

Must perform the specific job duties as listed above to meet position expectations.

In addition, must possess skill in working cooperatively and effectively with clients, staff, management and other professional groups: in exercising mature judgement in dealing with people; in presenting ideas clearly and accurately; in reading and comprehending the English language; and in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and must be in recovery from a behavioral health and/or substance abuse disorder or nicotine recovery. One year of experience and participation in local or national consumer advocacy or knowledge in mental health recovery is preferred.
  • An expectation of core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders. Individuals may be required to obtain and maintain a current Oklahoma Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with P and S Endorsements with airbrakes.
