Job Description
Responsible for social media daily operations, tactical execution, and moderation of ALSAC/St. Jude’s social media communities. Works closely with Digital, Marketing and Communications teams to ensure social media messaging goals are achieved and that the St. Jude brand reputation is maintained. Ensures our social messaging and community management is consistently on brand and provides an engaging experience for our subscribers and the on-line community.
- Requires functional working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc. with experience using these channels to engage in on-line conversation either professional or personally a must.
- Experience in marketing through social media channels or managing social media communities with familiarity of social media best practices, tools, etiquette and processes a huge plus.
- Knowledge of other internet products such as Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Google Analytics, social media monitoring and tracking tools, and other emerging social media formats a plus.
- Ability to self-manage, effectively prioritize work, and deliver on service level agreements a must.
- Project management skills are a plus.
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office product suite, basic HTML knowledge a plus; knowledge of content management systems helpful, but not necessary.
- Bilingual, not necessary, but a huge plus.
- Excellent communications skills, including proven writing/editing ability a must.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment with rapidly changing technology; willingness to learn new software packages quickly and assist in department training.
- Knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/English, Marketing, Advertising, Information Technology or other related field and 1+ year experience in a marketing, communications, or internet related role.
