Job Title: Sr. Help Desk Technician
Department: IT
Reports to: Network & Systems Manager
Salary Grade: Salary Exempt
Overview: The Senior Help Desk Support Technicians role is to support and maintain AISs computer systems, desktops, peripherals, cell phones, etc. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and software while ensuring optimal system performance. This person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance where required. Responsibilities also includes maintaining software license inventory for all equipment. Will also be the primary point of contact for support of our remote sales force. We are looking with someone with a lot of energy and strong work ethic. Must have your own vehicle for supporting our multi building environment. This ideal candidate is highly accountable, self-directed, extremely organized and detail oriented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Software installation and troubleshooting.
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Provide Tier I/Tier II support for all desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and other computing equipment.
- Assign and troubleshoot cellphone issues (iPhones)
- Be willing to take ownership of an issue, seeing it through from beginning to end
- Assist with junior level network administration
- Help with monthly security patching of desktop and servers
- This position commonly requires additional hours beyond the standard work day to meet project deadlines and assist the Sales & Marketing team with requests at any time of day.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Active Directory
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
- Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
- Basic knowledge of wireless networks
- Experience providing support via remote tools
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong project management, and excellent time management skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment
