Job description
Position Description:We are looking for a Staff Accountant who is detail oriented to join our team. You will work about 20 hours a week for approx. 6 months to assist us in research for federally funded grants. The ideal candidate must be able to perform the following tasks -
Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.
Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Assisting the accounting manager as needed.
Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50lbs. Additional Information:
Note: We would like someone at least partially on-site, but I am willing to consider remote for someone that has more applicable experience.
