Staff Accountant Position Posting
We have an opening for a full time (40 hours), exempt level Staff Accountant to support our Grand Rapids Catholic Secondary Schools.
Our Staff Accountant will provide oversight to the tuition receivables and collections processes. Prepares and records assets, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling and resolving discrepancies. Serves as an expert resource for other accounting staff including a bookkeeper and financial aid specialists. Prepares monthly financial statements for review and analysis, assists with audit and budget preparation and identifies opportunities for business efficiencies.
Our ideal candidate will have a BS in accounting or equivalent experience, experience with computerized ledger systems with Quickbooks preferred. Advanced excel knowledge is required. This person must be very organized and detail oriented with strong project management, analytical, and interpersonal skills. We want this role to work well independently and as part of a team.
