Job description

Measures, labels, verifies and dispenses prescription medications in a higher volume pharmacy. Maintains patient records and exercises discretion with all information. Keeps pharmacy and workstation clean and free of clutter. Assists and counsels members regarding prescriptions, merchandise, and services while providing prompt and courteous member service. Assists Pharmacy manager with daily, weekly, period, quarterly, biannual and annual reporting and compliance tasks as necessary. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards.

Data verification of prescriptions, electronic, faxed or hand-written.

Responsible for verifying legitimacy of medication prescribed, including but not limited to PMP review, clarification and appropriate diagnosis from patient and/or prescriber or prescriber's office. Further required documentation necessary per company policy.

Delivers immunizations including all proper documentation.
