Role Summary: :
The ideal candidate will be friendly, devoted, curious, and have a strong passion for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities: :
Key responsibilities for this position are:
- Maintain cleanliness of all Back of House (BOH) work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, prep areas, and dishwashing area
- Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, prep areas and dishwashing area
- Provide clean restaurant wares for front of house and back of house departments
- Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work space
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
- Assist with receiving deliveries and rotating stock when needed
- Empty and maintain trash bins and dumpster area
- Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- Work collaboratively with BOH staff and FOH staff
- Follow set schedule and give appropriate notification for tardiness and absence
- Conform to Department of Health requirements to run an A-level kitchen
Required Qualifications: :
- Basic understanding of working in a professional kitchen
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and high energy environment
- High volume restaurant experience preferred
- Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly and constantly improve
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues
- Strong time management skills and able to execute dishes consistently and effectively
- Full availability (including weekends)
