Job Description Summary
The Stockroom Associate will work in a team environment to move parts on the shop floor to the correct designated area as well as participate in other duties including, cycle count, inventory, kitting, housekeeping and receiving of materials. 3rd shift hours are 10pm - 6:30am Sun - Thurs. Training on days will be required for at least 3 months.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions and update in computer system accordingly.
- Pack and unpack items to fit on shelves in stockroom, in a safe, orderly and accessible manner and keep organized for easier access for all stockroom associates.
- Conduct cycle counts or daily inventory counts on random parts; verify inventory counts by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies and adjust errors.
- Weekly chemical/ shelf life inventory; pull all expired chemicals, scrap them in the system, and take to the proper location to be disposed of.
- Kitting responsibilities; know the procedures of what parts are needed in each kit, making sure the kits are complete before delivering to correct location, and completing the issuing process in computer functions, sending emails to all PC’s, etc.
- Housekeeping duties; keep all work areas clean, organized and un-cluttered. Take out all trash, sweep, and dust on your scheduled day and complete weekly scrap removal.
- Safety checks and audits
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds repetitively, occasionally lift up to 35 pounds non-repetitively, and sometimes lift over 35 pounds with assistance
- Conform to all EHS guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing proper PPE; Work in an area where there may be moderate noise intensity (85 to 89.9 dBa) and areas where hearing protection is required; Work in an area where, due to normal machining operations, there may be dust, fumes, or smoke (not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels)
