Overall Responsibilities:
PCG is seeking a critical thinking and problem-solving skilled candidate for the Adult Protective Service (APS) Investigator Supervisor position the State of Washington based Social and Health Services team. An APS Investigator Supervisor will independently supervise and manage a team as they complete investigations of reports of abandonment, abuse, exploitation, neglect, and self-neglect of vulnerable adults. Your success will be measured by your ability to manage each team members progress, accuracy and productivity with investigations and overall project outcomes while promoting the safety of at-risk and vulnerable adults. APS Investigator Supervisor is a full-time remote-based position (40 hours/week) working closely with the State of Washington based Social and Health Services team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Carry out supervision, quality assurance and performance management of a team of APS investigators
  • Monitor and evaluate case investigations evidence for thoroughness supporting conclusion of substantiated or unsubstantiated abandonment, abuse, exploitation, or neglect to include defined quality assurance measures
  • Manage and direct the daily activities and productivity to the project and individual progress and accuracy to metrics and goals
  • Monitors case tracking and assignment of investigations.
  • Responsible to prepare responds to team member questions, giving instructions and guidance through case supervision and developing necessary resources and tools if gaps are identified
  • Prepares and directs schedules, monitoring attendance, and builds team collaboration in a remote environment
  • Train and onboard new staff to included one on one sessions and shadowing for job readiness, as well as ongoing coaching for current team members if new training is necessary
  • Complete investigations and testimony as needed
  • Represent PCG and the client in a professional manner.
  • Attend all trainings and collaborate with the State of Washington Social & Health Services staff including other APS Investigators
  • Collaborate and support leadership by identifying trends, complete reporting, and implement process improvements which may include writing new policies and procedures, training staff, and monitoring improvements
  • Attend and conduct individual and team meetings to include supervision sessions
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and web-based applications
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills to direct and create a high-performing team
  • Ability to foster teamwork with all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to assess and develop workable solutions on a variety of critical issues or problems, thinking critically, and incorporating multiple factors into larger concepts
  • Good time management skills to stay focused with attention to detail
  • Experience with developing collaborative case strategies and make recommendations at a high-level
  • Ability to work autonomously making decisions, sometimes in immediate safety situations
  • Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity.
  • Experience assessing risk and safety to vulnerable adults or children
  • Candidate can reside in any state except WA
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in social services, human services, behavioral sciences, criminal law/ justice, or an allied field
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in investigatory, law enforcement, criminal justice, or other social services case management of at-risk or vulnerable persons
