Supervisor - Mobile Maintenance (Job Number: 2309222 )

This role is fully remote. No travel required.

Position Summary:

This role will have primary responsibility for all technicians with Penske’s Centralized MRU operations. This will entail managing five MRUs and technicians. Locations of management are Alabama, California, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oklahoma and Maryland.

Since the Mobile product is in early development, this role will continue to have an integral role in developing SOPs and KPIs and establishing the program.

Regular duties include coordinating, scheduling, and auditing of vehicle maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical and electrical repair to tractors, trucks, and trailers. This role will assist the Manager with hiring, training, and ongoing development of field maintenance technicians to ensure that our highly skilled workforce is able to meet customer expectations.

Major Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and assign vehicle maintenance work to meet customers’ needs. Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of Penske’s assets under Centralized Mobile program.
• Control repair, inventory, and labor costs by monitoring associate work levels, and assisting with diagnosis and fulfilling parts requests. Coach and mentor technicians. Meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to provide in-person technician training, domicile and truck setup.
• Mobile Repair Unit Profitability, Efficiency, Quality, and Safety

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Penske TCP, OEM, and/or ASE Certifications Preferred
• 3 years previous work experience in diesel shop maintenance required
• Advanced mechanical knowledge
• Intermediate customer management
• Advanced technician management
• Intermediate Penske Systems and reporting knowledge
• Strong customer service and organizational skills required
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
