Overview:
Strategic Resources, Inc. SRI is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Supply Chain Specialist to provide support to assist with performing a wide variety of warehouse operations, essential logistics, and supply functions in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), Maryland.
Job Description:
The Supply Chain Specialist will assist in the supply chain process, including the procurement of plant equipment required for NSWCCD. Additionally, the Supply Chain Specialist will provide logistics services to support compliance with a variety of Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy instructions and standards necessary to effectively manage the procurement of material items and supplies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the supply team to ensure NSWCCD plant property and supply needs are fulfilled.
- Manages vendor shipment specification and ordering procedures as well as inventory level as it applies to Plant Property & Equipment (PP&E) and Operating Material & Supplies (OM&S).
- Manages supply operations including purchasing, financial reporting, inventory, organization, and logistics as required by NSWCCD.
- Assists with procurement and inventory control
- Optimizes inventory performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and trends forecasting.
- Maintains and process documentation.
- Ensures compliance with NSWCCD policies and procedures.
- Builds strong relationships with the customer and stakeholders and fully understand the requirements and issues driving the procurement.
Minimum Required Skills, Education, and Experience & Abilities:
- Bachelors of Science or Art Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- In lieu of education requirements, individuals shall have five at least five (5) years of military, DoD or related business experience in Plant Property & Equipment/Asset Management.
- At least three (3) years of experience with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) solutions and managing Navy logistics including Sponsor Owned Material (SOM) or OM&S.
- At least three (3) years of experience with material accountability, major project or program level management of contractors/subordinates, and performance of physical inventories of PP&E or OM&S.
- Working knowledge of DoD Foreign Military Regulation (FMR) Volume 4, Chapter, Department of Navy (DoN) Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA) Statement of Assurance and SECNAV INSTRUCTION 4440.33 is desired.
- Must be knowledgeable in Navy-ERP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively with personnel at all military and civilian levels.
- Ability to collaborate with technical team members and stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be ethical and maintain confidentiality.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to obtain an Interim SECRET Level Clearance.

Physical Demands:
Requires walking, sitting, bending, standing, and the ability to wear appropriate safety equipment and protection.
