Qualification: Bachelor of Business, Social Work, Psychology, or related service field

and Certified by DMH or professionally licensed.

Schedule: 12 months, 8 hours daily, 8:00-5:00 (one hour lunch break)
Salary: As established by Region IV Mental Health Services in accordance with current salary scale

Responsibilities:

Treat individuals with dignity and respect
Help individuals maintain highest possible level of independent functioning
Engages persons and establishes trusting, collaborate relationships directed toward goal of competitive employment in community settings
Perform routine assessments of the individual's employment/vocational goals, strengths, work history, etc.
Link individuals to potential employment opportunities
Provide education to individuals as to how their benefits will be affected by earned income.
Provide education and support to family members about work and obtain input about skills, interests, Strengths of the client and ideas for support (all with patient consent)
Provide services as it relates to the service plan and individual's needs
Discuss preferences for disclosure of psychiatric status to employers, including possible costs and benefits and specific infotmation to be disclosed.
Provides assistance with job search regardless of patient's preferences regarding disclosure
Participate in consultation with employers and community agencies
Develop an individual employment plan with the person and with input from treatment providers and family members

Conduct job development and job search activities directed toward positions that are individualized to the interests and uniqueness of the people of his/her caseload, following the principles and procedures of IPS
Conduct at least five employer contacts each week to learn about businesses and employer needs, to talk about specific clients who are looking for work and/or to talk about employer services offered by the IPS program
Provide individualized follow-along supports to assist people in maintaining employment.
Provide frequent in-person supports during the first month of a new job and at least monthly after working steadily and desired by individuals
Provide education and support to employers as agreed upon by clients, which may include negotiating job accommodations and follow-along contact with the employer/educator
Provide outt·each services as necessary to clients when they miss appointments.
Complete all paperwork as scheduled
Work collaboratively with other mental health staff and outside agencies
Participate in agency meetings
Attend weekly treatment team meetings
Attend monthly meetings with VR counselors
Be punctual while performing all duties

Adhere to agency policies
Adhere to DMH standards for supported employment service delivery Complete all training requirements
Possess the ability to work independently and readily adapt to change Maintain access to a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license Adhere to the ACA Code of Ethics
Attend workshops/seminars as required (may involve overnight stay) Adhere to agency dress code and demonstrate professional appearance Adhere to duties directed by Supervisors and Executive Director

Pay: $19,300.29 - $25,000.00 per year
