We have an amazing team here at Advocate Sherman Hospital and we’re looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Labor & Delivery Team! We have per diem and part-time, benefit eligible positions available on 3rd shift.

Schedule:

• Per diem opening on nights or
• 0.6 FTE working 2 x 12 hour shifts each week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• 0.6 position is benefit eligible

• Advanced Nursery & one of 11 to have a state-certified level IIE special care nursery for high-risk newborns

Position Requirements:

• High School Graduate or GED
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program
• Surgical Technologist certification from the NBSTSA within 90 days of hire
• Good Communication Skills
• Ability to independently perform scrub duties

What you will do as a Certified Surgical Tech:

• Functions in the scrub role on surgical procedures as a member of the surgical team
• Preparation and maintenance of the sterile field
• Participates in maintaining the readiness of the Operating Room
• Maintains professional work environment
• Demonstrates accountability for own self development
