Survey CAD Technician
Job Summary: To perform and coordinate surveying assignments designed to develop professional working knowledge, requiring the application of standard techniques and procedures. Work under the supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor and receive-on-the-job training in order to learn the skills necessary to complete work.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Work closely with Project Managers to develop survey documents such as various types of surveys, plats, easements, right-of-way dedications, certifications, exhibits, legal descriptions, field survey reports, etc.
· Provide information, stakeout and assistance to field survey crews.
· Conduct property research to find relative property records for specified projects.
· Site reconnaissance/field visits
· Reviewing of maps, surveys, construction documents, engineering plans, aerial images, field survey reports, etc.
· Responding to review comments from City/County reviewers, Title Companies, Land Attorneys, Lenders, and/or clients.
· Working with design technicians and survey technicians to ensure accurate work product
Expectations
· Learn and develop skills in all aspects of surveying (transportation, commercial, residential, urban, rural, public/private, construction, etc.)
· Strong communication, leadership and technical skills
· Must have a working knowledge and ability to perform computer tasks with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
· Capable of independent and team work environments
· Working at least 40 hours a week; working to complete the job and meet set deadlines by putting in the hours needed to make this happen
· On time submission of time cards and any other regular office required tasks
· Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at one time
· Be creative and capable of problem solving, open collaboration and providing unique solutions.
· Want to be an integral partner in building communities across the metroplex
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
