Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Sustainment Engineer for a position in Orlando, FL analyze Apache Fire Control (AFC) technical data to determine spares and repair parts provisioning requirements and associated costs. Assist in maintaining a replenishment parts model to include historical parts consumption, parts obsolescence, lead-times, costs, minimum buy requirements, and predicted future repair part, spares, and support equipment spares requirements. In conjunction with other program personnel, establishes schedules and monitors the cost and delivery of spares, support equipment spares, and repair parts requirements in order to comply with contractual obligations. Through weekly monitoring, the individual will ensure the availability of spares, support equipment spares, and repair parts.

Support the mitigation of potential component obsolescence, including tracking known issues and communicating at risk items with stakeholders for M-TADS/PNVS. The candidate will work with various teams to analyze solution options for components flagged with less than 5 years till end of life (YTEOL) to support sustainment and production predicted needs. The candidate will research availability of potential obsolescence issues, support alternate component test and evaluations, supporting the development of redesign, and propose engineering changes in the subsystem Build of Materials (BOM) for alternates. Additionally, the candidate will analyze life of need for production and sustainment stakeholders based on multiple sources of information including failures, period of performance, current stock, repair process, and expected life of subsystems and reporting results to customers and IPTs. The candidate will develop/maintain visual representations of component and/or sub-system roadmaps, communicate with assigned customer on issues and needs, and create reports and presentations.

The candidate should be creative, analytical, process-oriented, and appreciates the challenge of clarifying ambiguity. A successful candidate will have efficient and effective communication skills to support the development and delivery of reports, program directives, engineering change requests, and presentations. Travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft applications, especially Excel, for technical presentations and analyzing data sets

Familiarity with engineering drawings and build of material lists

Experience in a variety of statistical and/or data science analytical techniques and tools, Statistical and modeling tools and techniques
Desired Skills:
Supply chain background

Previous experience in defense or engineering, internship or employment

Familiarity with SAP or Enterprise-level operations applications
