A growing start-up in the bioengineering area is looking for a synthetic biologist to join their team. Like most companies in their space, they are getting a lot of money thrown their way. You'd also be working with their DNA and Strain Construction, and Cell Line Development teams in addition to the synthetic biology group. Now that their core teams are built out, it's a really collaborative effort there. This will give candidates the opportunity to join in on the ground floor and grow within the company. - Design, build, and test innovative genetic platforms and programs in mammalian cells for therapeutic applications
- Create experimental workflows for engineered cells including flow cytometry
- Collaborate frequently with the computer science team to incorporate biological design principles and experimental datasets into the computational pipeline
- Work effectively as part of a cross-functional team in support of a synthetic biology design platform
- BS/MS/Ph.D. in Biological Engineering, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- Experience designing plasmids and culturing cells including E. coli, yeast, or mammalian cells.
- Quantitative data analysis expertise
- 1+ years of experience doing research in an academic or industry lab setting
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
