Systems Administrator – SQL DBA

Qualification Requirements for System Administrator 3 – MS SQL DBA Responsibilities

Database Administration

• Design, install, deploy, migrate, troubleshoot, and manage Microsoft SQL Servers.
• Design, install, deploy, migrate, troubleshoot, and manage Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Design, install, deploy, migrate, troubleshoot, and manage Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Web Server Administration

• Design, install, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage Windows web servers
• Configure, troubleshoot, and manage web-based software including Internet Information Services (IIS), DNS, FTP, SMTP, and SSL.
• Participate in projects associated with Microsoft Web Servers

Server Maintenance and Security

• Troubleshoot and manage server and software security.
• Maintain patch levels according to defined standards.
• Performing root cause analysis.

Other Duties

• Design, install, deploy, and manage Windows 2019 servers for the application hosting infrastructure.
• Design, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage group policies.
• Manage Active Directory and DNS.
• Install and maintain Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products
• Develop and maintain application hosting related documentation including Job Aids and processes.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen – Must be able to obtain a security clearance if required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• A minimum of 5-8 years practical experience working as a System Administrator.
• A minimum of 6-8 years practical experience working as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA including TSQL, Backups, Stored Procedures, SSIS, and SSRS.
• A minimum of 4 years practical experience with Web Server Administration including IIS, DNS, FTP, and SMTP.
• A minimum of 4 years practical experience with Windows Server.
• A minimum of 4 years practical experience with Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy
