Job Summary:
The Independence Pet Group People Operations Team is seeking to add a passionate and experienced Talent Acquisition Manager. Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, People Operations, this role is responsible for leading IPG recruitment efforts by creating recruitment strategies, metrics and innovative ideas to maintain IPG's competitiveness in the market place across multiple brands, while delivering a best-in-class candidate experience. This role will directly lead a team of Talent Acquisition professionals responsible for driving an awesome candidate to employee experience through building programs that support IPG's ability to recruit qualified talent pools, drive the candidate experience, and achieve business performance goals. This is a hands-on role and will have responsibility for carrying executive level requisitions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and coach a team of high-functioning Talent Acquisition professionals to ensure a best in class hiring experience to our candidates and hiring managers while partnering within the People Operation team
- Monitor current trends and innovations in talent acquisition practices, make recommendations and implement new programs and policies, as appropriate
- Proactively share Talent Acquisition updates with internal stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and accomplishments
- Ensure consistency on the team so each candidate has a positive, professional experience by maintaining an orderly, efficient process in a high-touch, high-level service environment.
- Partner with senior leaders and within the people operations organization on annual talent and staffing strategy and planning
- Partner with our Marketing/PR team to develop branding and marketing strategies that position IPG as an employer of choice within the InsurTech industry
- Drive the implementation of a consistent recruiting process across the organization by training, coaching and influencing hiring managers
- Support the data driven culture and mindset within the People Operations organization
- Champion DEIB focus throughout the recruiting lifecycle
- Evaluate, improve, and implement recruiting solutions, technologies, interview processes that promote a centralized talent acquisition function
- Cultivate and foster strong relationships with business leadership educate and instill awareness of the strategic offerings
- Provide ongoing mentorship, training, and development to talent acquisition team members
- Be a culture carrier by living and modeling the organizations values
Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience placing Senior to Executive level roles within an organization
- Ability to gather a deep understanding of the technical and practical needs of a role and understand the hiring manager’s needs and priorities
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data as well as make data driven decisions
- A strong bias for action paired with a sense of urgency and a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong negotiation skills, ability to ‘hone in’ on the critical components of a role and ensure talent is secured while aligning with internal policies/practices
- Strong relationship building skills; internal and external engagement
- Consultative approach to Talent Acquisition
- Desire to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with flexibility to handle multiple priorities that span from tactical to strategic along the way
- Ability to navigate ambiguity while also managing day to day and building for future growth
- Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and partner with stakeholders at all levels in the organization to deliver a great employee experience
- Experience using Workday, Paylocity, Paycom, ADP and/or other ATS
- Demonstrated ability to strike a balance between strategic partnership-building and getting things done
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience leading projects and driving organizational change management efforts
Education / Experience:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition (corporate/agency) within a progressive, high growth and results oriented insurance and/or tech environment
- 3+ years of experience building, leading and coaching recruiting teams
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related field preferred
- Previous ATS implementation experience is highly desired
- Travel to IPG sites may be required
