• JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Provide medical supply technician services in the delivery of patient care.
• Provide sterilization and control of sterilized supplies and equipment with appropriate safety methods and procedures are as follows; . Operating sterilizers or equipment or when using disinfectant solutions according to manufacturer’s recommendation.
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment/instrument trays.
• completed quality testing is daily and weekly on washers and sterilizers.
• Quality testing is with every load proceeded through sterilizers.
• Tray and instrumentation optimization monitored as a performance improvement for increasing efficiency of sterilization and length of life of instrumentation. Provide technical direction on the specific tour of duty
• Be able to read, understand, speak and write English to effectively communicate with patients and other health care workers, and the locals.
• Have basic knowledge, skills, and abilities to use a computer.

EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of twenty-four (24) months relevant experience within the last thirty-six (36) months

CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Immunity to Rubella, Mumps, Measles
• Immunity to Hepatitis A and B
• History of Chicken Pox disease or positive titer
• Tetanus Diphtheria (Td) within the last 5 years
• Documentation of receiving a TB skin test (PPD) within the past 12 months with documentation of follow-up for a positive test
• Have the physical ability to perform tasks assigned.
