Microwave Techniques, LLC., A Global Leader in High Power Microwave Solutions manufacturing the widest line of high-power RF components and systems including circulators, isolators, loads, rigid waveguides, flexible waveguides, coaxial components, ultrahigh vacuum components, and broadcast components.

As Sales Engineer you are responsible for actively driving and managing sales from the technology evaluation stage of the sales process through quotation to order. Work closely with the sales and engineering team to technically advise on products. Engineering background required to support the technical and functional communication requirements of the position in support of both our customers and internal departments. As a sales engineer you will be prepared for any / all technical issues that may come about. This is a position for someone with both technical knowledge and sales skills. We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer Representative to support sales efforts and achieve revenue goals through interaction with commercial and governmental customer base. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher with 5+ years of experience in engineering, sales, or a combination thereof. Experience preferred in High Power RF/Microwave components for defense and/or aerospace but willing to train the right candidate.

Job functions:

· Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends, identifying sales opportunities.

· Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.

· Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.

· Maintains and improves quality results by following standards, recommending improved policies and procedures.

· Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.

· Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

· Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.

· Recommend potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.

· Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.

· Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction.

· Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication.

· Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools.

· Meet personal/team sales targets.

· Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution.

· Keep records of customer interactions and file documents.

· Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.

· Go the extra mile to engage customers.

· Answer questions about warranties or terms of sale

· Act as the company gatekeeper

· Suggest solutions when a product malfunctions.

· Familiar with CRM systems and practices

· Travel required, domestic and internationally 25%

· Must be a US Citizen

· Adept at all common computer/software programs such as Microsoft Office products and Adobe

· Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 per year
