Job Description:

Intrinsic is looking for a skilled and self-motivated Technical Writer that has a passion for writing and technology. As a Technical Writer you will be supporting both the highly talented development team with better documentation of features as well as the devoted product management team to build documentation, clarify ideas that customers love! This is a significant opportunity to enable customers to better understand and use features. You will work closely with the most amazing people in the world.

As a team member, you will:

• Write technical documentation for our internal and external audiences, such as how-to docs and getting started guides.

• Define graphics requests for the Graphic Design team to complement documentation

• Design and organize documentation sets for new features and services.

• Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.

• Supplement developer documentation with relevant sample code.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Literature, Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.

• 3 years of experience in technical writing or product documentation

• Knowledge of common software development tools and principles

• Experience with UX-focused product writing and documentation

• Portfolio which includes samples of past technical writing work

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience of experience writing on software related topics

• 3 years of experience writing for software engineers and project managers

• Experience writing for engineers and technical project managers.

• Ability to communicate the features and benefits of products in a manner that is both easy-to-understand and appealing to target audiences

• Ability to change writing styles and tone on the fly depending on the target audience

• Ability to adapt to ambiguity and unfamiliar topics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
