CareOnSite, a division of Tang & Company which provides occupational medical services nationwide, has excellent full-time opportunities for Telephonic Occupational Health Nurses. The Telephonic Nurse responsible for triaging incoming calls from clients, assessing needs, giving appropriate clinical options and facilitating referral to primary providers. The nurse will also educate the caller when appropriate regarding immediate care, advice, and preventative behaviors.
This is a Remote position.
full-time swing shift hours with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Answers inbound calls through telephonic triage line.
- Assesses caller’s issues by asking relevant and open-ended questions.
- Uses clinical judgment to guide conversation and to provide appropriate recommendations for patient care.
- Consults with Telephonic Provider as needed to facilitate appropriate patient care.
- Uses discretion and independent judgment in handling caller complaints.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license
- Good verbal communication skills
- Minimum 5 years of recent clinical nursing experience in occupational medicine, hospital, clinic, urgent care, or ER/ED.
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse preferred
- Telephonic nursing experience preferred
