PURPOSE:
The Territory Manager will oversee current dental office accounts and develop new relationships with the goal of building long-lasting relationships between the doctor’s offices and our dental laboratory.
The ultimate objective for the TM is to drive profitable sales growth within the territory. This can come from adding new accounts, or gaining greater share of wallet from existing accounts. Additionally, the TM will serve as the day-to-day liaison for these accounts. Because of this, the TM must have a strong customer service orientation.
TM will deepen relationships with existing clients by continuously proposing solutions and cross-selling products and services to meet the needs of each dental office. They will travel when necessary, approximately 50-70% of time depending on exact territory needs. TM may also attend regional or national dental conferences and events whenever necessary.
The TM would cover Eastern CT, Central Mass and Southern New Hampshire. Ideal candidate resides in Norwich, CT or Worcester, MA. to minimize commute time and ease access to accounts.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES/OBJECTIVES:
- Meet daily contact call objectives with clients and potential clients.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets.
- Develop rapport and relationships with key members of client’s practice.
- Identify opportunities, trends, issues and communicate with appropriate department personnel to help better serve the client.
- Successfully introduce new products and services to client base.
- Conduct in-person, telephone, and zoom meetings with the client.
- Conduct lunch and learns, scanner training events and host various seminars.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in direct selling, tele-sales, selling to dentist, physicians or other medical professionals is preferred but not required.
- The ability to effectively communicate via telephone and in-person with potential and existing doctors and office staff clients.
- Strong analytical, organization, and selling skills.
- Ability to think on your feet and solve problems quickly.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in sales and marketing.
- Knowledge of the dental market, dental procedures and dental terminology is preferred.
