SUMMARY:
The Title Services Officer is the primary contact for all WesBanco Title Insurance matters. The Title Officer must initially take responsibility for building and maintaining a settlement services provider network serving this Mid-Atlantic market (Maryland & Northern Virginia), and coordinating their services with WesBanco Bank lending, while, at the same time, creating a market presence and introducing the business to our customers. As a captive insurance agency, the primary market for our services are WesBanco Bank lenders. The Title Officer is required to market our services to all WesBanco Bank loan referral sources in the Mid Atlantic market, and capture a meaningful percentage of that business.

LOCATION:
This position is hybrid. The employee is split between remote and office work on a formalized schedule. Consideration for location will be Bowie, Bowie MD.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Builds relationships with all loan officers to create confidence in ability and to assure loans sent to our settlement service providers will close promptly and provide a quality experience for the borrowers.

Meets regularly with all WesBanco Bank personnel having the ability to act as a business referral source, including loan officers, banking center managers, business bankers, private bankers, and other employees.

Works with WesBanco Insurance Services management and WesBanco Bank management, to coordinate their internal support and encouragement of WesBanco Bank lenders to use our in-house settlement company.

Maintains agency relationship with title insurance underwriting companies.

Coordinates the delivery of title insurance commitments and policies with an in-house title document processor.

Works with WesBanco Bank personnel to identify current settlement service providers, and work to incorporate them into our network.

Identifies additional providers to fill out our network.

Monitors settlement service provider performance with follow up calls to loan officers, and investigation of complaints.

Monitors the performance of our closing attorneys with follow up calls to loan officers, and promptly acts on any complaints received.

Prepares monthly revenue and monthly income reporting.

Maintains relationships with our title insurance underwriters.

Completes payables processing and checking account management.

Maintains checking accounts/ work with accounting department to balance accounts.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Proficient knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Proficient knowledge of SoftPro Select title insurance software or other title insurance software preferred.

Must have Resident Maryland and Non-resident Virginia title insurance licenses or must be obtained within 90 days of start date.

Ability to read analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Must possess basic mathematical skills and understand basic mathematical methodologies used in budgeting, accounting and investment performance calculations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Bachelor's Degree in business preferred

Minimum of four years of experience in title insurance and/or lending origination or processing.

Active and familiar with the market and business community within which the representative will operate.
