Training Center Administrative Assistant – Atlanta, GA

Vertex Professional Services (VPS) is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to work alongside the program management team. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage and lead all aspects of employee learning and development projects including initial scope, design, development, implementation, budget and schedule establishment and adherence, profit and loss management, customer relationships and customer growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will assess project status and issues; develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client satisfaction goals and objectives; and develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to work proactively, efficiently, and effectively within budget, teaming with co-workers, internal departments, and the end customer.

This is a Full-Time position paying $18-$22 per hour based on experience and skill set.

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will have interaction with various teams on a local, regional, and national level. Be able to provide basic support of the learning management website for customers and manage daily administrative support for the Training Center. Compiling and processing reports and deliverables on a regular basis and maintaining schedules.

Required Skills

  • Minimum two years administrative experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers, key stakeholders, all levels of management and employees

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; must be able to handle multiple, complex projects and schedules in a fast-paced environment and deal quickly and efficiently with changing priorities

  • Strong computer skills, along with a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Detail oriented and problem solving

  • Willingness to take on new assignments, as appropriate

  • The ability to learn new skills quickly

  • Ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Desired Skill

Experience supporting external customers

Required Education

  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
