BASIC PURPOSE:

Performs the daily processing and validating of all Shareholder transactions regarding stock, advances, letter of credit, wire security, mergers, and membership. Interacts with external and internal customers such as Shareholders, Beneficiaries, Legal, Funding Desk, Capital Markets, and Derivatives daily.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Researches, analyzes, and resolves routine and complex issues pertaining to the accuracy of advances, letter of credits, and stock.
  • Manages and executes all aspects of membership mergers, acquisitions, withdrawals, and receiverships, to include: researching industry news and bank regulations, contacting institutions, requesting and receiving merger documentation, transacting mergers, responding to inquiries, and coordinating all business units to merge various member accounts and services.
  • Responsible for the execution of all capital stock transaction processing: daily purchases, repurchases, mergers, acquisitions, withdrawals, dividend payments, and all ad hoc transactions.
  • Provides subject expertise regarding department transactional activities
  • Maintains and establishes all shareholder accounts from set up to closure.
  • Assists in the maintenance of user guides, training materials, and procedure manuals.
  • Ensures the accuracy of input, modeling, and validations for renewals, expirations, reductions, and cancellations of all Letter of Credits in the Findur system.
  • Reviews and validates all advance trade entries into Findur to ensure proper linkage between the swap and hedged. Using middle-office and back-office systems, performs all other operational functions such as verifying settlements with brokers, payments, rate resets, and prepayment calculations
  • Analyzes detailed data and calculation results to support fair value hedge relationship assertions and documentation for restructured advances.
  • Supports processing of calls and unwinds. In the case of a discrepancy, alerts the senior staff member immediately.
  • Performs rate fixing, payment processing, and management reporting in Findur. Processes end of day for Findur and stock system.
  • Maintains the rates in the User Acceptance Testing servers
  • Monitors the callable advance portfolio to ensure that if the interest rate swap option is exercised, the corresponding hedged bond is terminated in both Findur and SCAD.
  • Maintains and processes documentation for wire transfer security.
  • Performs final review of trade details in advance confirmations to ensure accuracy of applications prior to submitting confirmation to the Member Service Portal (MSP) for shareholder review an acceptance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Strong analytical, computing, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with Shareholders and Beneficiaries
  • Must be customer service oriented, detail oriented, well organized, and able to work within time constraints, and handle multiple unrelated projects simultaneously with limited supervision.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft-based computing applications is required
  • Must be able to work independently and with a team.
  • Understanding of Bloomberg and Principia is helpful
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, and three years of experience dealing with financial institutions or employed by a financial institution with an understanding of related business strategies, accounting principles, financial instruments, and regulations, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
WORK LOCATION: Onsite with an opportunity to work remote partially.
