Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Transporter, you will assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients by performance of routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the Hospital and department. You will transport patients safely to and from the operating room utilizing two patient identifiers per Universal Protocol. You will assist in lifting and positioning the patients and transportation of supplies and equipment to and from the department. You will assist preoperatively by donning sterile gown and gloves to assist with prepping. You will assist in housekeeping duties by cleaning the rooms between cases, adhering to infection control standards established by AORN.

What qualifications you will need:

• Previous experience as orderly/transporter
• Current CPR card
• Current CNA license preferred

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
