Trauma-Informed Specialist

Full-time – Upper Darby School District Elementary Schools

Based on 40 years of experience providing therapeutic schools to students impacted by trauma, our NeuroLogic® training not only focuses on trauma’s impact on the brain, but also provides interventions and strategies that can help bring growth and healing to those impacted brain regions. We offer a variety of custom training and coaching options to meet the needs of schools.

Summary: Support elementary school leadership, educators, clinicians, and support staff in developing and carrying out strategies that will help students who have been impacted by trauma to find success.

Description:

• Observe students, staff, and school procedures to provide feedback regarding the alignment and application of NeuroLogic® principles and practices.
• Participate in meetings with staff to troubleshoot ways to assist students.
• Meet with students and their counselors to discuss strategies that best support the student.
• Participate in professional development and enrichment through in-service training, supervision, conferences, and workshops.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in education, counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
• Interest in and knowledge of trauma informed principles.
• Experience in a school setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
