Position: Treatment Technician
The Treatment Technician staff is under direct supervision providing adult supervision; assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure environment that enhances treatment. The Treatment Technician operates in a transitional, residential environment.

Available Shifts: Part-Time

• 7am-3:30pm
• 3pm-11:30pm
• 11:30pm-7:30am

Job Duties:

• The Treatment Technician provides care to clients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
• Monitors and logs all rounds with clients - Q15 or Q30.
• The Treatment Technician assists clients with activities of daily living; attends to client behavioral issues and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
• Works with a multidisciplinary team in leading milieu activities such as current events groups, community meetings, life skills, and/or recreational activities, as appropriate to the specified population.
• The Treatment Technician charts client observations, following policy and procedures requirements/mandates.
• Participates in the development and implementation of treatment programs.
• The Treatment Technician maintains the confidentiality of the client and all records.
• Transports clients to and from community appointments, clinics, labs, and/or treatments, as and when appropriate.
• The Treatment Technician maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Document and utilize Electronic Medical records.
• The Treatment Technician attends all mandatory staff meetings, group sessions, and in-service education.
• If Treatment Technician meets the requirements to engage/provide counseling services and duties, the treatment technician will complete the required Intake Paperwork with the client.

Qualifications:

• Attainment of at least 18 years of age
• A Criminal Background Clearance
• A Health Screening with TB test results
  

• High School Diploma or equivalency test preferred
• Must be detail oriented with good oral and written communication skills.
• 1 year experience working in residential treatment with knowledge of co-occurring disorders
• Applicant must be in the process of obtaining a CADC, CATC or other SUD related degree/certificate

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record
• Current CPR certification
• Current First Aid certification
• RADT certificate with further education in progress; CADC, CATC or other SUD related degree/certificate
• Food Handlers Certification

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employees are required to talk or hear while on duty and frequently required to stand and walk. Often, the employee is required to sit and use a computer and/or reach with hands and arms.
