What You’ll Do
The Ultrasound Technologist is an integral part of the Hillcrest Hospital Claremore team. The Technologist will be responsible for performing routine and emergency Ultrasound procedures, while providing extraordinary customer service, safety and patient care.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Perform routine and emergency Ultrasound procedures, with the ability to produce quality images while applying physical safety measures
- Prepare the exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations, and utilize appropriate sterilization methods
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort
- Evaluate Ultrasound scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
- Effectively operate, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot equipment
- Participate in the orientation of new employees and provide training when applicable
- Accurately complete and submit all required documentation according to departmental policy and procedures
- Participate in the development of new programs, while actively contributing to the growth and performance of the overall department
- Assist Radiologist and other healthcare practitioners as needed and during interventional procedures
- Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding personal, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of Hillcres
What You’ll Bring
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program within a school that is approved by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association (
AMA). - Possess an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification OR American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Certification or Registry.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ direct experience as Ultrasound Technologist
- Ability to demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills on a daily basis
- Must possess the Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
