Ultrasound Technologist - Renewable 13-Week Contract Assignment

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a renewable 13-week contract assignment in Nyack, NY. The job will be in the Radiology/Cardiology specialty with a focus on Women's Health Breast Center. The position offers a Day 5x8-Hour shift (07:30 - 16:00) starting ASAP

Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist will use specialized medical and radiological equipment to perform radiographs of organs not examined by conventional means. The role will also involve performing diagnostic Breast Ultrasound examinations and related support services, including assisting with procedures such as seed locs, biopsies, and procedures with the doctor.

Essential Job Qualifications:

• One year of general Ultrasound experience preferred, dedicated breast Ultrasound experience preferred.
• Training/Certification: ARDMS-BR (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) required, preferred.
• Licensure: ARDMS-BR preferred.

Job Specific Competencies: The successful candidate will demonstrate the required technical/professional knowledge, skills, and abilities, including:

• Performing exams according to AIUM standards and Nyack Hospital protocols; maintaining competencies as required for the position.
• Maintaining a neat, well-organized work area; preparing the room prior to patient exams, stocking room with needed supplies, and keeping the room and work area clean.
• Preparing images to be interpreted by the radiologist.
• Maintaining communication with Lead Technologist and Coordinator as needed to facilitate work flow and patient safety, offering solutions as appropriate.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Location and Shift:

• The job is located at Nyack, NY 10960.
• The shift is Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00).

Requirements:

• Experience in Breast examinations and Breast Biopsy.
• Comfortable with assisting in seed locs, biopsies, and procedures with the doctor.
• ARDMS-BR (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) required, preferred.
• Local radius within 70 miles.
