Job Description
The Unclaimed Property Investment Acct Research Specialist supports the lost shareholder and unclaimed property research and state escheatment activities for US Bancorp Investments Inc./Wealth Management. Role is responsible for department activities, including state specific research and legislative analysis, system integrations, report definition and creation, and annual state reporting. Provides quality support to investment clients and other internal partners by responding to and resolving issues, submitting and researching requests, and replying to compliance questions associated with operational processing of investment related abandoned accounts. Acts as liaison between clients and back-office staff while also engaging front office representatives when appropriate. Provides timely resolution to issues to adhere to regulatory requirements and service level agreements. Follows up with internal or external customers ensuring problem resolution. Develops and maintains documentation of all activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically five or more years of relevant work experience
- Strong operational knowledge of all investments operations’ functions, including thorough knowledge of industry rules and regulations
- Thorough knowledge of policies, plans, procedures, products and regulatory requirements for FINRA broker/dealers and/or state escheatment regulations
- FINRA Licensing SIE, Series 99, or Series 7
- Unclaimed Property/Escheatment experience or background
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple task/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
- Well-developed planning, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to identify and resolve/escalate problems
